Marion Rubinstein, piano and recorder teacher, Sunnyvale, plays harpsichord and recorder Professional Resume

I received my musical education at Stanford, studying with George Houle and Margaret Fabrizio. I received my BA in music in 1973 and the following year went to England to earn my Master of Music degree at the University of London. My professors there were Howard Mayer Brown and Margaret Bent. While in England some friends and I formed The Albany Consort, a baroque chamber ensemble that performs regularly in the Bay Area.

I have been a member of the Music Teachers' National Association of California for many years. In addition to private teaching on piano, recorder, harpsichord and organ, I have taught adult education and high school theory classes. I also enjoy coaching chamber groups of all ages. My philosophy is that there are many approaches to music, and that the more I do, the more I am able to learn and to give.
